Musha Gundam ムシャガンダム

I know, at the very first post I said I am not going to touch the samurai series, but when I was this one on sale in one of the site I visit, I just couldn't help but to click on the "add to cart" button.  I mean, com'on, this one is a classic!  How can I possibly resist?  Anyway, a bit on the history.  Musha Gundam was an original character from one of the comic book "PURAMO KYOSHIROU".  It got so popular and got released as a BB senshi.  However, the popularity did not stop there!  This character have proved to be so popular, that Bandai ended up creating a whole Musha series for all the gundams.  So it is reasonable to say this is the great great grandfather to all the Musha and Sangoku gundam series.

As a lad I never got this kit for some reason, so this time I get a chance to finish it makes me very happy.  Musha has his own armor, two melee weapon and a spring loaded gun.

 Naginata, this is a pole weapon standard to the ancient Japanese soldiers.

 Musha from behind,  The base color of this kit is just red and white, so it takes a lot of time to pain it, but at least the color stays on well.

 Tanegashima rifle,  this is a type of matchlock gun for feudal Japan.

As suggest by the box art, this light armored mode is suppose to depict a common foot soldier instead of a specific character.

 The armor stand.  I used the gold from Gundam Markers, and it came out very nice.

 Full armored Musha Gundam.

 Full armored Musha from behind

The sword case for the katana is a nice touch.

Musha ready for battle.

The armor and limited joints makes it difficult to pose, but that goes for all the earlier BB senshi.

 Shooting range time.

 With the helmet!  That's right, the helmet is a spring loaded weapon as well!  Of course it doesn't fly far, but it is easy to aim.  I love these goofy gimmicks for the earlier BB senshi kits.

An attempt to use the powered up rifle broke one of the ONLY two missile in half.  ;_;
